Pairloom is a compatibility app built around games. Instead of asking you to fill out a profile, we figure out how well two people match by having them play together. Answer questions, share your link, and see where you align — and where you don't.

Do I need an account to play?

If someone sends you a link, you can read and answer the questions without signing up — but you'll need to create a free account to submit your answers and see your compatibility score. To create games and track your compatibility over time, you'll need an account from the start.

Yes — Pairloom is free to use. All games, connections, and compatibility scores are available at no cost.

How do I share a game with someone?

Tap + New Game on your dashboard, pick a game, and answer the questions. Once you're done, you'll get a shareable link and QR code. Send it to anyone you're curious about. The best part: you only need to answer once. Share that same link with as many people as you want and compare everyone's results side by side.

Can I compare multiple people at the same time?

Yes — play any game once. Share that same link with everyone you're talking to. As each person responds, you see exactly how compatible you are — side by side, ranked. One game. Ten people. Real data.

Are these games just for dating?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Pairloom works with anyone you're curious about — a new date, someone you've been with for years, a close friend, a sibling, anyone really. Think You Know Me and Sketch Duet are particularly popular with people you already know. Love Limits is the only game designed specifically for a romantic context (and is 18+).

What's the difference between playing on your own and playing live?

When you play on your own, you answer at your own pace and share a link — whoever you send it to responds in their own time. When you play live, you're both online at the same time, taking turns and seeing each other's answers as they happen.

Which games can I play on my own and share?

Accepted Answer

Seven games can be played on your own and shared via link: This or That, Personality Pulse, What Would You Do?, Taste Check, The Slider, Rank It, and Love Limits (18+). All seven can also be played live.

Which games are live only?

Accepted Answer

Three games are only available when you're both playing at the same time: Think You Know Me (answer about yourself, then guess what your partner said), Sketch Duet (take turns adding strokes to a shared canvas), and Pressure Points (relationship scenarios that escalate in real time).

Will I see the same questions twice?

Not when playing live with the same person. Pairloom tracks which questions you've both seen and serves new ones each session — even across different games.

How long do games take?

Games played on your own are quick — most people finish in a few minutes. Live games tend to take a bit longer since you're playing together in real time.

What is Love Limits and why is it 18+?

Love Limits asks you to rate statements about relationship preferences, boundaries, and intimacy. The questions are direct and deal with adult topics — nothing graphic, but honest in a way that's meant for adults.

How do I start a live game?

There are two ways: Tap Play Live on your dashboard to get a link or QR code to share, or go to My Connections, tap someone's name, and hit Play a game with them — they'll get a notification and can jump straight in.

Can we keep playing after we finish a game?

Yes — after any live game ends, a Play Again button appears. You take turns picking — whoever didn't choose last time picks next. No need to go back to the dashboard.

What if one of us loses connection mid-game?

The game will pause and wait for the disconnected player to reconnect. If they don't return within a few minutes, the session will time out. You can start a fresh game — your previous scores are saved.

How does someone become a connection?

Anyone who completes a game with you — live or via shared link — becomes a connection. They appear in My Connections with their compatibility score.

What does the compatibility score mean?

Accepted Answer

Your score is a percentage reflecting how aligned you are across six compatibility dimensions. A higher score means your answers, preferences, and instincts tend to line up. A lower score doesn't mean incompatible — the score is a starting point for conversation, not a verdict.

What are the six compatibility dimensions?

Openness (curiosity, adventure, openness to new experiences), Rhythm (lifestyle pace, routines, social energy), Roots (relationship to home, family, tradition), Stability (how you handle uncertainty, conflict, and security), Spark (chemistry, attraction, warmth), and Communication (directness, listening, handling disagreement).

How many games do we need for an accurate score?

Accepted Answer

Three or more gives you a meaningful starting picture. Five or more across different categories gives you a well-rounded score. Even after one game you'll learn something real about each other.

Who can see my answers?

Accepted Answer

Only the person you played with can see your answers — in the context of your shared game only. Your answers are not visible to other connections and Pairloom does not display them publicly.

Can I delete a connection?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap the connection in My Connections, open their profile, and find the option to remove them. This removes them from your list and hides your shared history.

How do I change my display name or photo?

Accepted Answer

Tap Profile in the nav bar, then tap your name or photo to edit. Changes are reflected across all your connections immediately.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, games, connections, and compatibility data. This action cannot be undone.

Can I play on multiple devices?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sign in with the same account on any device and everything will be there. For live games, use one device at a time.
