Pairloom is a compatibility app built around games. Instead of asking you to fill out a profile, we figure out how well two people match by having them play together. Answer questions, share your link, and see where you align — and where you don't.

Do I need an account to play?

Not to start. You can pick a game and answer every question as a guest — on your own, or from a link someone sent you. You create a free account at the end: that's what lets you get your shareable link, submit your answers, and see your compatibility score. It only takes a moment. The one exception: if someone sent a game to you personally (not a public link), we'll ask you to sign in before you play so we know you're the person it was meant for.

Yes — Pairloom is free to use. All games, connections, and compatibility scores are available at no cost.

How do I share a game with someone?

Tap + New Game on your dashboard, pick a game, and answer the questions. Once you're done, you'll get a shareable link and QR code. Send it to anyone you're curious about — by text, DM, dating app, wherever. The best part: you only need to answer once. Share that same link with as many people as you want and compare everyone's results side by side.

Can I compare multiple people at the same time?

Yes — and this is one of the things that makes Pairloom different from dating apps. Play any game once. Share that same link with everyone you're talking to. As each person responds, you see exactly how compatible you are — side by side, ranked. One game. Ten people. Real data. You're not swiping and guessing at chemistry. You're getting actual answers to actual questions, compared across everyone at once. When someone rises to the top, you'll know why.

Are these games just for dating?

Not at all. Pairloom works with anyone you're curious about — a new date, someone you've been with for years, a close friend, a sibling, anyone really. Two games in particular shine with people you already know: 🔮 Think You Know Me You each answer 5 questions that reveal a lot about who you are. Then you take turns guessing what the other person chose. The fun is in the reveal — watching in real time what the other person actually knows about you, and what they got completely wrong. Couples, best friends, and family members who think they know each other inside out are usually surprised. 🎨 Sketch Duet You build a drawing together, taking turns on a shared canvas. Draw anything freehand, or choose from hundreds of preset drawings — an animal, a landmark, an object. When you pick one, you'll see the reference image first, then choose to either trace it together or let it disappear and try to recreate it from memory. After the game, the original comes back and you see exactly how close — or gloriously far off — your combined effort landed. Love Limits is the one game designed specifically for a romantic context (and is 18+). Everything else is fair game for anyone.

What's the difference between playing on your own and playing live?

When you play on your own, you answer at your own pace and share a link — whoever you send it to responds in their own time, no scheduling needed. When you play live, you're both online at the same time, taking turns and seeing each other's answers as they happen. It's a more immediate, shared experience.

Which games are live only?

Will I see the same questions twice?

Not when playing live with the same person. Pairloom tracks which questions you've both seen and serves new ones each session — even across different games. You can play for hours or return days later without repeating yourself.

How long do games take?

Games you play on your own take 1–2 minutes — each game card shows its own estimate. Live games tend to take a bit longer since you're playing together in real time, and it's easy to keep going. With Play Again you can keep the session going as long as you want.

What is Love Limits and why is it 18+?

Love Limits asks you to rate statements about relationship preferences, boundaries, and intimacy. The questions are direct and deal with adult topics — nothing graphic, but honest in a way that's meant for adults. It's one of the most revealing games on the app for understanding how two people are wired romantically.

Is there a timer option for live games?

Yes. When selecting a game to play live, you'll see an option to turn on a timer and set how long each player gets to answer. No overthinking — just instinct. You can adjust the default time to make it as relaxed or intense as you like.

Yes — there's a chat available throughout any live game. Use it to react, tease, or talk through your answers as they get revealed. It's part of what makes live play feel like something you're actually doing together.

How do I start a live game?

There are two ways: 1. Tap Play Live on your dashboard — you'll get a link or QR code to share. They join and you're in. 2. Go to My Connections, tap someone's name, and hit Play a game with [name] — they'll get a notification and can jump straight in.

How do I invite someone I already know?

Go to My Connections, tap their name to open their profile, and tap Play a game with [name]. They'll receive a notification. Once they accept, you're both in.

Can we keep playing after we finish a game?

Accepted Answer

Yes — after any live game ends, a Play Again button appears. You take turns picking — whoever didn't choose last time picks next. No need to go back to the dashboard.

What if one of us loses connection mid-game?

The game will pause and wait for the disconnected player to reconnect. If they don't return within a few minutes, the session will time out. You can start a fresh game — your previous scores are saved.

How does someone become a connection?

Anyone who completes a game with you — live or via shared link — becomes a connection. They appear in My Connections with their compatibility score.

What does the compatibility score mean?

Your score is a percentage reflecting how aligned you are across six compatibility dimensions. A higher score means your answers, preferences, and instincts tend to line up. A lower score doesn't mean incompatible — the score is a starting point for conversation, not a verdict.

Why doesn't my game score match my overall compatibility score?

Each game measures specific dimensions. Your overall score is a weighted picture built across all the games you've played and all six dimensions. One strong game nudges the overall score but doesn't define it. Think of each game as one chapter — the compatibility score is the whole story.

Why does my score change over time?

Accepted Answer

Each new game adds answers, and every dimension carries a coverage level — how much of the picture we have for it. Coverage starts at zero and rises with each answer that touches that dimension. Thinly covered dimensions are deliberately pulled toward the middle instead of swinging to extremes, and a dimension with no answers shows "Still learning" rather than a guess. So early scores sit closer to 50% and move as coverage grows. That movement is the picture filling in — it isn't the score becoming a prediction, and coverage is not a probability that a relationship will work.

What are the six compatibility dimensions?

Openness — Curiosity, adventure, openness to new experiences. Rhythm — Lifestyle pace, routines, social energy, how you structure your time. Roots — Relationship to home, family, tradition, where you come from. Stability — How you handle uncertainty, conflict, and the need for security. Spark — Chemistry, attraction, how you express and receive warmth. Communication — Directness, listening, handling disagreement.

How many games do we need before the score means much?

There's no magic number of games — what matters is how many answers touch each dimension. Coverage for a dimension is about 15% after one answer ("Early signal"), roughly 49% after four ("Getting clearer"), about 81% after ten, and it keeps creeping toward — but never reaches — 100%. A dimension with no answers shows "Still learning", and a dimension covered by only a single answer isn't counted in your overall score yet. Different games touch different dimensions, so the fastest way to fill in the whole picture is to play a few different games rather than the same one twice. Even after one game you'll learn something real about each other — coverage just tells you how much of the picture you're looking at, not how accurate it is.

Who can see my answers?

Only the person you played with can see your answers — in the context of your shared game only. Your answers are not visible to other connections and Pairloom does not display them publicly.

Can I delete a connection?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap the connection in My Connections, open their profile, and find the option to remove them. This removes them from your list and hides your shared history — it does not delete their account or notify them.

Can I see my own answers after I've played?

Yes — tap any game in your Share Games tab or open a connection's profile to review your answers and see how they compared.

What happens if I share my link publicly?

Anyone with the link can play and respond. If you post it somewhere public — social media, a dating profile — anyone who finds it can submit answers and become a connection. If you want to stop accepting new responses, you can delete the game from your Share Games tab.

How do I change my nickname or photo?

Tap Profile in the nav bar. Your nickname — the name people you play with see — is the first field under Basic Info. Edit it and tap Save Profile. (It's locked while you're in the middle of a live game.) Your photo isn't edited in Pairloom: it's synced from the account you sign in with (Google or Apple), so change it there and it will follow. The same page also lets you add a birthday and location, and shows the email address and login method on your account.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile, scroll to Danger Zone, and tap Delete My Account. You'll be asked to confirm. This permanently removes your account, games, connections, and compatibility data — your display name stays visible to people you previously played with so they know who you were, but nothing else is kept. This cannot be undone.

Can I play on multiple devices?
